This page explains what happens to the details you give us when you sign up for early access to DealerStep on dealerstep.com. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@calicoders.com.

Who we are

DealerStep is built by CaliCoders LLC, which is responsible for the information collected on this site.

What we collect

Only what you type into the early-access form:

• your name
• your work email address
• your dealership
• your phone number, if you choose to give it

Alongside those we keep the date and time you signed up, the last time you submitted the form, and which version of the privacy note under the form was current when you signed up.

What we don't collect

We don't store or log your IP address, your browser or device, or where you came from. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this site, and every file it loads comes from dealerstep.com itself.

To stop abuse, our hosting provider uses your connection's IP address for a minute or so to limit how often the form can be sent from it. We never see it and it is never stored with your sign-up. Like any web host, Cloudflare also keeps its own short-lived security and traffic logs, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is nothing to accept or decline, which is why you won't see a cookie banner.

One technical note for completeness: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, asks your browser to report connection failures (Network Error Logging), so it can spot outages. Those reports go to Cloudflare, not to us, and never contain anything you typed into the form.

Why we collect it

To contact you about DealerStep: to tell you when it's ready, to arrange a demo if you'd like one, and to answer any questions you ask us. We don't use your details for anything else.

Who can see it

The people at CaliCoders LLC who are building DealerStep. When you sign up, an email with your details is sent to our team's inboxes so we can follow up, and that email is kept with the sign-up itself: everything below about keeping and deleting your details applies to both.

The site runs on Cloudflare, which stores the sign-up list and delivers that email on our behalf, under its data-processing terms with us. Our team's email is hosted by our email provider in the same way.

We never sell or share your details with anyone else, and we don't use them for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep an early-access sign-up for 24 months from the day you signed up, then delete it, together with the notification email about it. We delete both sooner:

• whenever you ask us to, or
• once your dealership becomes a DealerStep customer, because from then on your details live in your account instead.

Your choices

You can ask at any time to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to delete them. Write to info@calicoders.com from the email address you signed up with, and tell us what you'd like. We'll confirm once it's done.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Each sign-up records which version of the note under the form was current at the time, so we can always tell which wording applied.
